Distributed Mean-Field Density Estimation for Large-Scale Systems

چکیده

This work studies how to estimate the mean-field density of large-scale systems in a distributed manner. Such problems are motivated by recent swarm control technique that uses approximations represent collective effect swarm, wherein (especially its gradient) is usually used feedback design. In first part, we formulate estimation problem as filtering associated partial differential equation (PDE), for which employ kernel (KDE) construct noisy observations and use theory PDE design an optimal (centralized) filter. It turns out covariance operator observation noise depends on unknown density. Hence, obtain suboptimal filter, prove both estimates their gradient convergent remain close one using notion input-to-state stability (ISS). second continue study decentralize filter such each agent can based only own position local information exchange with neighbors. We also remains centralized sense ISS. Simulation results suggest able generate estimates, converge

A partition-based algorithm for clustering large-scale software systems

Clustering techniques are used to extract the structure of software for understanding, maintaining, and refactoring. In the literature, most of the proposed approaches for software clustering are divided into hierarchical algorithms and search-based techniques. In the former, clustering is a process of merging (splitting) similar (non-similar) clusters. These techniques suffered from the drawba...

Mean Field Theory for Density Estimation Using Support Vector Machines

This paper presents a novel algorithm for density estimation which is based on the support vector machines (SVM) approach and it uses the Mean Field (MF) theory for developing an easy and efficient learning procedure for the SVM. The traditional formulation of the SVM density estimation decomposes the parameters of the problem into a quadratic optimization which can be solved using standard opt...

Failure Detectors for Large-Scale Distributed Systems

This paper discusses the problem of implementing a scalable failure detection service for Grid systems. More specifically, traditional implementations of failure detectors are often tuned for running over local networks and fail to address some important problems found in wide-area distributed systems, such as Grid systems. We identify some of the most important problems raised in the context o...

Self-Management for Large-Scale Distributed Systems

Autonomic computing aims at making computing systems self-managing by using autonomic managers in order to reduce obstacles caused by management complexity. This thesis presents results of research on self-management for large-scale distributed systems. This research was motivated by the increasing complexity of computing systems and their management. In the first part, we present our platform,...
